    The Midwest Vegetable Growers Network (MVEG) is putting on a late-season field day series offering in-depth expertise in a hands-on approach from farmer peers, paired with local farmer educators. Bay Branch Farm will share the ins and outs of Annabel and Eric's high tunnel tomato growing operation. Growing in urban spaces since 2010, Bay Branch Farm provides high quality tomatoes and other items to various markets in and around Cleveland. Foraged and Sown has been certified organic by OEFFA since 2017 for both their fresh produce and seedlings, and as an organic handler for their farm-produced teas blends and salts. Foraged and Sown has grown herbs, vegetables, and berries on multiple growing sites around Central Ohio starting in 2015. In 2020, they added a larger farm and production site in West Jefferson. Their dual focus on cultivated and foraged produce encompasses a broad range of herbs, fruits, greens, and roots. This event is hosted by Common Greens. Wondering what it takes to build a licensed kitchen on your farm? Heather and Beth, owners and beginning farmers of Ohio Elderberry Farm + Kitchen, have been growing elderberries for personal use since 2008 before launching into growing them at scale in 2020.
