DESCRIPTION:This will be a full-day program at the Antioch Farm\, a hub of sustainability and hands-on learning at Antioch College. This event is designed for farmers from all backgrounds\, practitioners\, researchers\, and community leaders who are passionate about soil health\, sustainable agriculture\, and collaborative project development. DESCRIPTION:City Folk’s Farm Shop will host a special Ohio Soil Health Week celebration to highlight the importance of healthy soil in growing nutrient-dense food\, supporting thriving gardens\, and building resilient ecosystems. \nThe main event will take place on Friday\, November 14\, from 3–5 p.m. at City Folk’s Farm Shop. This gathering is designed for home gardeners\, urban growers\, small farmers\, and community members interested in practical ways to improve their soil health. \nThe program features: A storewide sale on all soil and amendments (continuing through the weekend); Ted\, from Ohio Earth Foods\, available to answer individual questions and provide guidance on soil fertility and amendment strategies; Paisley from City Folk’s Farm Shop\, sharing the benefits of Bokashi composting as a method to recycle food waste into a powerful soil-building tool. \nEvent Agenda: \nFriday\, November 14\, 3-5 p.m.  \n\n\nSoil and amendment sale open in-store \n\n\n\n\nTed from Ohio Earth Foods available for soil consultations \n\n\n\n\nBokashi composting talk and demonstration with Paisley (3:30-4:15 p.m.) \n\n\n\n\nResource table with soil stewardship guides and composting information \n\n\nThe storewide sale on soil and amendments continues Saturday\, November 15\, and Sunday\, November 16.
